Travel Waiver for Australia / New Zealand Flight Suspensions
Today we announced that we will be temporarily suspending nonstop service between Honolulu and the following Australia and New Zealand gateway cities: Sydney (SYD), Brisbane (BNE) and Auckland (AKL) as a result of new government entry restrictions. Please note that to qualify for this waiver, the change must be made to the same compartment (i.e. Business Class to Business Class or Main Cabin to Main Cabin) there is no change in origin or destination
- • Voluntary changes to the origin, destination, and/or via/stopover point can be made to your reservation without incurring a change fee, however any applicable fare difference will apply

Travel Waiver for Australia Novel Coronavirus
We are offering a one-time change fee waiver for guests who have been impacted by Australia’s 14-day self-isolation requirement for international arrivals.
We are able to apply this waiver to your reservation under the following conditions:
- • Your ticket was purchased on or before March 14, 2020 for travel between March 14-June 30, 2020
- • Your travel itinerary includes Australia
Additional waiver qualifications and rules:
- • Your ticket must be rebooked by Dec. 31, 2020
- • Travel for your rebooked ticket must begin by Dec. 31, 2020
- • This waiver is a one-time waiver of change fees, however any applicable fare difference will apply upon rebooking the ticket

Travel Waiver for COVID-19 Related Network Schedule Changes and Suspensions
We are reducing our flight schedules as a result of declining travel demand due to COVID-19 and will be offering a one-time waiver for guests with impacted flights.
If your flight falls within the affected travel dates listed below, this waiver provides the following options:
- Change your flight to travel by Dec. 31, 2020 to have change fees and fare difference waived
- Change your flight to travel after Dec. 31, 2020 to have the change fee waived, but pay the fare difference (if any)
- Cancel your ticket and hold the unused value of your ticket for future travel for up to 12 months from the date the original ticket was purchased
- Request a refund without penalty

Travel Waiver for Neighbor Island Flight Reductions
We are reducing our Neighbor Island flight schedules as a result of reduced travel demand and will be offering a one-time waiver of change fee and fare difference for canceled flights between March 24-31, 2020. For more information, please click here.
Travel Waivers for Merrie Monarch Cancellation
We are offering a one-time change fee waiver or refund for guests whose travel has been impacted by the cancellation of the 57th Merrie Monarch Festival. For more information, please click here.
Book New Flights with Confidence
Guests who book any of our flights between March 1-31, 2020 may change their travel to a future date without incurring change fees.
Waiver qualifications and rules:
- • Ticket was issued between March 1, 2020 HST to March 31, 2020 HST.
- • This waiver allows a one-time change per ticket without fee. Any subsequent changes will be subject to regular change rules and applicable to the originally ticketed fare(s).
- • The change fee will be waived, but any applicable fare difference will be collected for the new flight.
- • To receive the one-time waiver of change fee, guests must contact Hawaiian Airlines no later than 24 hours prior to departure.
- • Guests who have purchased their tickets through a travel agency will need to request changes directly through their agency.

We are issuing travel waivers for all Hawaiian Airlines flights booked through March 9, 2020 HST for travel between March 1, 2020 HST to April 30, 2020 HST.
Please follow the steps below if you are traveling between March 1-April 30, 2020 and need assistance with canceling your existing reservation. NOTE: This feature requires your six-letter confirmation code and rebooking assistance is not available through this form. We are offering a one-time change fee waiver for guests who have been impacted by the suspension of travel from the European Union Schengen area to the United States (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland).
We are able to apply this waiver to your reservation under the following conditions:
- • Your ticket was purchased on or before March 11, 2020 for travel between March 13-May 31, 2020
- • Your travel itinerary includes any of the countries in the European Union Schengen area listed above
Additional waiver qualifications and rules:
- • Your ticket must be rebooked by Dec. 31, 2020
- • Travel for your rebooked ticket must begin by Dec. 31, 2020
