The fee for checked baggage depends on where you are flying: wholly within the State of Hawaii, between Hawaii and North America (either direction) or Internationally, fees are based on the country of origin at the start of your trip. Additional fees apply for Oversize and Overweight bags.

Effective January 8, 2025, Sports Equipment will be accepted as checked baggage, provided each piece is properly packed in a soft or hard sided case designed specifically for the equipment. Varying restrictions may apply if you are traveling on other airlines.

Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard: The Primary Cardmember is eligible to earn two (2) complimentary checked bags on Hawaiian Airlines-operated flights. International flights are excluded. Offer is also not valid for codeshare flight segments operated by Hawaiian Airlines and marketed by other airline partners. All ticket purchases (original and exchanges) must be made with the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard premium product and purchased directly from Hawaiian Airlines. Applicable overweight and excess baggage fees will apply. The two (2) complimentary checked bags are valued at the first and second checked bag fees. Any additional checked bags will be charged at the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. baggage fees.
Pualani Elite Members and Premier Club Members who are also the primary cardmember of the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard, will receive two (2) complimentary checked bags in addition to their membership baggage allowance when purchasing Domestic or Neighbor Island tickets directly from Hawaiian Airlines using their Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard. The two (2) complimentary checked bags are valued at the first and second checked bag fees.
Any Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® or Alaska Airlines Visa® Business cardholder who purchases airfare with their card and has an open account at the time of travel is eligible to receive one free checked bag for themselves and up to 6 guests traveling on the same reservation on qualifying reservations. The Free Checked Bag benefit cannot be combined with other free baggage allowances.
The Free Checked Bag Benefit is only available on flights marketed by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines and operated by Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon Air or SkyWest. Flights with oneworld® partners are not eligible for the Free Checked Bag Benefit. If your flight connects to or from another airline, standard baggage fees will apply. Airfare must be purchased with your Card to qualify for this benefit. Offer may not be applied retroactively, and no refunds will be issued.
